One leading agent quoted the market for steers as up by about $200 a head.

Several large drafts of spring-drop weaners were also offered at the sale of 3249 steers and heifers.

Steers sold to a top of $2560, while heifers reached $1990.

Nutrien auctioneer Josh McDonald, Warrnambool, said it was a very good yarding of cattle given the dry conditions.
