Northern orders lifted cattle prices at the Yea store sale on Friday, compared to a fortnight ago.
Agents reported a $40-100 a head price increase for most types of stock and said the sale went better than expected.
Nutrien and Elders agents yarded approximately 2000 cattle including both weaner and grown steers and heifers.
Elders Yea agent Ryan Sargeant said it was particularly the lighter cattle which saw a price increase, up to $100/ head on the same sale two weeks ago.
