A feature line of close to 200 Angus steers previously sold at Pakenham has headlined Alex Scott & Staff's January store sale at Yea.
Agents yarded 1338 steers and heifers at the Yea Saleyards on Friday, January 31 in a market underpinned by Gippsland agents, a handful of feedlots and one large order for a handful of NSW backgrounders.
The sale featured 579 steers which averaged $1160 and sold to a top price of $1830, while 615 heifers averaged $983 and sold to a top price of $1650.
The market also included several pens of cows with calves at foot and pregnancy-tested-in-calf females.
